Now, more than ever, it is crucial that you are comfortable with using video conferencing tools. Zoom is the most popular of these and the app for BPI communications. It’s an excellent way for us to stay connected during this COVID-19 pandemic. Google Hangouts is another popular tool.
Click on the YouTube videos below for easy tutorials on both technologies. And remember, if you still have questions just reach out to me at sreddick@bard.edu, or (347) 941-8512.

Best practices for BPI Zoom meetings
- Mute yourself upon entry to the meeting by clicking the small microphone icon toward bottom of Zoom window.
- To see all participants in the session at once, switch from “Speaker View” to “Gallery View” (top right corner of the screen)
- To ask a question, send a private message to Gabriel Mendes in the Chat window and be sure to identify yourself by name. Then, when you are called on, Unmute yourself and ask your question.
- You can choose to hide yourself by not sharing your video (click “stop video” in the bottom left-hand corner of your screen).
