Beyond Reentry, Building out Alumni Support and the ConnectED Workshop

In the final workshop of the Residency, leaders of BPI’s NYC and Upstate reentry teams, many of whom are alumni themselves, will talk about work in continuing education, career development, and the BPI ConnectED Workshop, a six-week workshop for recently released alumni/ae, which covers digital literacy, financial literacy, housing, wellness, relationships, navigating social services, and much more. We will explore the value of lived experiences, combined with the value of the institutional proximity of alumni support coming from the college, as opposed to other kinds of social service and reentry providers that might also exist in the community.
