BPI’s win against Harvard in 2015 brought international attention.
Beginning as a humble experiment in a classroom in the summer of 2013, the Bard Prison Initiative Debate Union has blossomed into a destination for intercollegiate debaters from colleges and universities across the globe looking to engage in competitive debate at the highest level. In addition to Harvard, the BPI Debate Union’s 14-4 record includes wins against teams from University of Pennsylvania, Morehouse, University of Cambridge, and Duke University.
