College Behind Bars, a four-part documentary, shares an intimate look at the lives and experiences of a dozen BPI students. The film shows how BPI challenges conventional wisdom about the purpose of both education and incarceration. Directed and produced by Lynn Novick.

Since the film aired, our student body has grown to over 400 students and nearly 1,000 alumni. The film has been screened at more than 50 colleges and universities around the world and in dozens of jails and prisons across the country. View the trailer and stream the film below.
